Car Storage for Luxury & Classic Cars

Here at Ashton Automotive we know how to keep your pride and joy protected from all the elements.  Across our five storage facilities, all close to one another and protected by one centralised encrypted security monitoring alarm, fire and CCTV system, we can hold 566 cars, 40 motorbikes, and the odd helicopter.  Our headquarters and premium purpose-built insulated storage facility, based in the capital of The Cotswolds is climate controlled both by underfloor heating and filtered ventilation.  Several doors are used to access the main storage area meaning that external airborne dust is minimised inside the storage areas.  For the discerning owner, we can supply an automotive air chamber which not only stabilises further airflow around your investment, but negates the need for one of our supplied soft cloth covers.  Live monitoring of both internal temperature and humidity levels ensure that your car or bike will always be stored in the most optimum of conditions.

Although our multi million pound facility can and may hold some of the worlds rarest cars for some of the worlds most elite collectors, we value every car and every client.  We understand that not everyone requires a first class ticket.  Not everyone needs to protect their car from the slightest micro-particle of dust, therefore we have a range of facilities to suit everyone's pride and joy, and financial requirements.

Regardless of the vehicle, each one is treated individually.  When they arrive, they undergo a close inspection and a condition report will be made.  Oil, Water and Fuel levels are checked and will be documented along with the mileage.  Where required, tyre pressures will be increased to help against flat spots whilst in prolonged storage.  CTek battery conditioners and chargers can be used, but this is closely monitored and they are never left on overnight for obvious reasons.

Our experience with vehicles, especially with the more senior ones, is that however good a climate that you park them in, leaving vehicles unattended and untouched for too long is never good.  Rubber pipes and seals dry out and perish, as do fibre or cork gaskets.  Upper parts of the engines internals can dry out and corrode. Thermostats can seize and electric switches such as those for electric cooling fans can stop working.   Whilst in our care, your vehicle will be routinely checked.  Regular temperature cycle start-ups and visual leak inspections can be carried out.  Switches, gauges, windows, locks and doors will all be operated carefully to ensure they remain in use, and thus working condition.   Any issues will be reported to you via email and if you wish, as part of our service, we can either take a look at minor issues in-house or have more serious matters looked at by a local specialist.  The idea being that when the rain stops, and you want to enjoy your car or bike, its ready for you to do so with.  No one likes to pull their pride and joy out from under a dusty sheet once a year to then have to spend several days and many hundreds of pounds fixing things that were never once a problem.

The same applies to modern supercars.  Batteries should not be allowed to go flat.  Fuel should not be allowed to go stale.  Tyres and rubber pipes should be nourished so that they do not crack and perish when re-exposed to the elements and high temperatures.  Routine maintenance is important on all vehicles, but many modern vehicles have to be serviced regardless of use to maintain their manufacturers warranties.  We can arrange such maintenance and annual testing for you, again so that your vehicle is always ready to use when required.  We are very local to some of the best car dealerships in the country, such as Dick Lovett Ferrari and Porsche.
